After the success of the first UK-China workshop on SUPERGEN in Oct. 2007 in Beijing, China, the UK-China Network of Clean Energy Research held the second UK-China workshop on SUPERGEN in Manchester on Oct. 20 and 21 2008. The host and joint organizer of the workshop is Joule Centre, University of Manchester. China EPRI is the Chinese joint organizer of the workshop.

The workshop was chaired by Prof. Peter Crossley, Director of Joule Centre. A special Chinese delegation of 27 people took part in the workshop. Lectures were given by scientists from both the UK and China.
